As my terrain collection has grown, I haven’t done much to get it organized. Invariably what ends up happening then is that pieces of terrain get chipped, damaged and (Gasp!) broken. After Kentaro pointed me to the show “Hoarders”, I freaked out and decided that I needed to get this stuff organized.
I had been storing most of my terrain in a plastic tub I had bought for that purpose. However, it was always necessary to pack it super-carefully and inevitably things would get hooked on other things, etc. Well that is all sorted out now. I spent the afternoon today assembling this storage shelf we have had in a box in our garage for some time. Now my terrain is safely put away.
But what’s that you say? There is open space on the shelves? Why there sure is! I guess I need some more terrain to fill those spots…
Tuttle out!

Is that highway section on the top shelf that I spot or perhaps a helo pad? The extra height that it adds to the game is top notch. I hope in time I can get my terrain sorted out but before I do that I need to make a table like yourself.
It’s a highway I built… REALLY easy to do too. It’s made out of Foamcore board and just a couple pieces of PVC Piping. Then painted.
You can see some pics of it here:

and here is is under construction and drying:

I need to come up with a similar system to store my terrain, especially considering we just got a new venue for our gaming group. There’s going to be a lot more transporting of terrain going on!
I love it!
The shelves remind me of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, particularly the section with the castle, windmill, and the hills.
It’s quite a diverse lot you have there. I take it you play more than just 40k?
