Well everything has arrived from The Warstore and from Forge World now. Time to start assembling all of my World Eaters. I wanted to run Kharn The Betrayer with them – he seems like a pretty cool cat to know. He also seems like he would be a lot of fun on the table top. There was only one problem… The model for Kharn sucks. It sucks bad!
So that just wouldn’t do. I mean, what good would it do to have a great looking Forge World Khorne Army… only to have some crappy HQ associated with it? I was hoping to kit bash a personalized Kharn out of something when I stumbled upon THIS THREAD on Bolter & Chainsword.
In particular Dezartfox had a really nice conversion, putting together many different pieces which, when assembled (like Voltron) would make an AWESOME Kharn The Betrayer. Well it turns out Dezartfox also does some commission work. You can check out his stuff over at The Vanus Temple.
After I reached out to him – he agreed, for a very reasonable price to go ahead and convert the model for me. I have thought about doing it myself – but honestly I think, while my painting skills are up to the task, my conversion skills would result in the destruction of an $18 metal model.
Ultimately here is what he is putting together for me:
Now THAT ladies and gentlemen… is a Kharn The Betrayer to be feared!
I’ll do the painting – I just need some help with this awesome conversion. The only drawback is that he appears to be in The UK. That’s all right though – I think the end result will be totally worth it.
