Well after promising myself I wouldn’t buy a loyalist army unless they re-released the Daemon Hunters, I went back on my word. Well my buddy Frank has decided to quit 40k and made me an “offer I couldnt refuse” for his Space Wolves.
Space Wolves, for me, are probably one of the coolest chapters of Space Marines. While they are not Grey Knight Terminators – I love the “Wolf Theme” and the color scheme. If I were going to do Space Marines – these are the guys I would do.
So now I’m the proud owner of about 3000 points of Space Wolves. I don’t know where I will fit them into my retinue of playing, right now I am still concentrating on my Khorne Army… and I think my heart will always belong to Chaos now, but I love the collecting aspect of this hobby and I feel like I could do Space Marines “right” now that I have learned more about painting and such.
So in just figuring what I have base points wise – this is pretty close to accurate. It doesn’t take into account the sprues given to me which have several more pieces on them to make probably an entire other squad – guess it’s a good thing my Devastator Squad sprue didnt sell… it also doesnt take into account any equipment they are armed with (Power Fists, melta guns, plasma guns, etc.). It’s just the base cost.
I also got a Battlefoam Bag and the SW codex along with the purchase… oh and a sprue of Khorne Berzerkers… You can never have enough Khorne Berzerkers.
Tuttle out!
I too made the same vow to not touch the Imperium scum bag armies and their controlling ways. I sorta went back on that vow by starting a Space Wolves army. However, mine are Renegade Spacewolves that had have pledge their allegiance to the powers of Chaos. They came from the Wolf of Fernris that the Red Corsairs captured and are dedicated to serving the Blood God.
You and me each have a Nurgle CSM army, a Khorne CSM army and now a Space Wolves army. LOL.
That’s hysterical. This wasn’t something I planned out and I don’t know when I will start working on them or even playing them for that matter. But when something like this comes along and you have the chance to swoop in on it – well you gotta take it!
way to focus on the new “acquisition” instead of the “objective” “debacle” of the same week…
